Trolling a French Police Car in Paris with a Quadcopter Drone

While the debate on privacy rights and government power over the use of surveillance drones goes on, some talented folks from Team Black Sheep (TBS), which specializes in both filming equipment for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) as well as aerial video services, found some time to fool around in France while attending the LeWeb 2012 Conference.

What TBS did on a street just outside of Paris is fly a remote controlled quadrotor, also called a quadrotor helicopter or quadcopter, equipped with a live-feed recording device.

New Dealer-Made Peugeot 208 Rallye Edition Hits the Streets [w/Video]

It's been three months to the day (September 24, 2012) since Philippe Beaugé, head of the Peugeot dealership Clara Automobile in the French city of Le Mans, first shared with us pictures and details of a newly created edition of the 208 supermini named after and inspired by the famed Rallye models.

As a refreshed, the dealer-made Rallye is based on the 208 156 THP Feline model powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine churning out 154hp (156PS) while tipping the scales at a relatively low 1,090kg (2,403 lbs).

This Lady Doesn't Understand What's Wrong With her Car…

If you're pushing your gas pedal to the metal with your engine sounding like a jumbo jet during liftoff but you're still moving slower than a hungry turtle dashing through peanut butter, then we'd say that's a sign there's something seriously wrong with your ride.

Try telling that to this Croatian woman who was driving a Peugeot 206 CC in the city of Zagreb.  No, really, we dare you, try telling her.

CarScoop tipster and reader Luka C. explains:

Amazingly, Peugeot's Smiley Grille Saves Another Dog's Life

Say what you want about the aesthetics of the smiley-shaped grille of older Peugeot cars, but we know that it has proved its worth when it comes to saving the lives of dogs.

How else can you explain the fact that for the second time (see the first incident here), we have discovered a video showing a pooch that made it out alive after being hit by what looks to be a Peugeot 308 307 compact hatchback?

According to the poster of the clip, the dog was allegedly hit at a speed of 90km/h (56mph), which sounds a lot to us, but without additional information, there's no way of being sure.

Peugeot 208 GTi in the Flesh from Paris and on Film in New Promo

While the Onyx, and to a lesser extent, the 2008 concepts are the most impressive models at Peugeot's Paris Motor Show stand, the French carmaker also brought along the production version of the 208 GTi that promises to rekindle the ideals of the original 205 GTi.

The new model's arsenal includes a potent 1.6-liter turbocharged engine that sends 197hp (200PS) and a peak torque of 275Nm (203 lb-ft) to the front wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox, and a revised chassis with new components and re-tuned suspension settings.

New Peugeot 208 Meets 205 GTi on Film [Updated]

A new video that has surfaced online brings together the freshly revealed Peugeot 208 GTi regular 208 with the 1980s/1990s 205 GTi.

Watching the (mediocre-quality) clip, we can't help but appreciate the timeless beauty of the 205's styling, especially when compared to the fussy and somewhat bulbous design of the newer 208.

CNG Tank Explodes in Driver's Face While Refueling

A very scary accident that could have easily resulted in several deaths was captured by a security camera at a filling station, possibly located somewhere in the Middle East, though we can't confirm this from the video (if you happen to know where it took place, leave us a comment below).

A man driving what looks like a Peugeot 405 sedan backed in the gas station. The employee then began filling the car while the driver opened the boot at which point, there was an explosion that flung the man to the ground.

Toyota GT 86 and Peugeot RCZ Coupes Playing Around in Greece

While the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ have their work cut out in the States due to the plethora of relatively affordable rear-wheel drive sports coupe proposals including the $22,200 Ford Mustang V6 and the $24,250 Hyundai Genesis 2.0-liter Turbo, over in Europe, buyers don't have near as many choices in the segment.

On the other hand, Europeans get other alternatives such as the front-wheel drive Peugeot RCZ coupe, which can be seen in these videos racing against the Scion FR-S' twin, the Toyota GT 86.
