Volvo C30 is a small car produced by Volvo Cars. C30 is a three-door, four-seat hatchback powered by straight and right-4-5 engines. The car is a sedan version of the S40/V50/C70 range, and uses the same Ford C1 (P1 or Volvo) platform. It is marketed as a premium sedan or 'sport coupe' specially designed for buyers of Volvo for the first time and the youth market. Production should be 65,000 units per year, 75% of sales on the European market. The production car was officially unveiled at the Paris Motor Show 2006.




The exterior styling of the C30 is based on 2001-SCC concept car, which was inspired by the 1800th, setting remained P1800 Coupe. It also shares many components with the Volvo 480, in particular body style 'Sportback' and the tailgate glass. According to Simon Lamar, Studio Chief Designer, 'the 1800th became an icon for Volvo' inspired design of the Volvo C30. The interior design is similar to S40 and V50, the most parts, including the table edge, 'floating' center console and steering wheel are shared by three cars.




In late 2006, the C30 was launched in Europe. Engine choices are 1.6-liter inline-4 (gasoline or diesel) 2.5L inline-5 turbo (2.4L diesel). 2009 has increased the choices of a 6-speed Powershift dual-clutch automatic transmission 2.0 L petrol and diesel engines, 1.8l E85 flex-fuel engine, 1.6 liters and a 'guide' the efficiency of diesel engines and optional start / stop. Trim lines are the SE and SE Lux, Great Britain, and Kinetic, Momentum and Summum (less and most of its features), most other European countries. The C30 is available in Canada in March 2007 as a 2007 model, and in October 2007 in the United States as a 2008 model. In Canada, the T5 2.4iy available. United States, the T5 engine is available. For 2008, the U.S. C30 was sold in two trim lines, version 1.0 and version 2.0. For 2009, they moved to T5 R-Design, with the latest addition to single plates.
